How to Use the Flip Pick System

Find Your Fit. Find Your Position. Find Your Flow.

Flip Pick gives you a different way to play guitar. Whether you're setting up for the first time or making adjustments, we're here to help you find what works for you.

There's no single right way to wear or play with Flip Pick. A few small adjustments—and a little practice—can make a big difference.

Find Your Fit.

Your FlexBand should feel secure—not uncomfortable.

The adjustable FlexBand is designed to keep your Flip Pick attached to your finger while allowing you to move naturally.

Start by placing the FlexBand around the index finger of your picking hand.

Use the available adjustment positions to find a fit that feels secure without excessive pressure.

Then experiment with where the FlexBand sits along your finger.

Things to try:

  • Adjust the FlexBand to a different size setting.
  • Move the FlexBand slightly forward or backward along your finger.
  • Experiment with the orientation of the FlexBand.
  • Check whether the rotating cap interferes with your thumb.

Remember: There's no single position that works for everyone.

Your ideal setup depends on your hand, your playing technique, and what feels comfortable.

Important: If the FlexBand causes pain, numbness, or excessive pressure, remove it and try a different adjustment. If you cannot find a comfortable fit, contact us for assistance.

Getting the Most Life Out of Your FlexBand

Your FlexBand is designed to be soft, flexible, and comfortable. A couple of simple habits can help keep it in great shape:

  1. Find your fit and leave it fastened. Once you've found the setting that feels best, we recommend keeping your FlexBand fastened and simply sliding it on and off your finger like a ring.
  2. Push, don't pull. If you need to adjust or unfasten your FlexBand, gently push the fastening button back through the hole from the top rather than pulling the band apart. This helps reduce unnecessary stress on the button.

That's it! A little care goes a long way toward keeping your FlexBand ready to play.

More Control. More Confidence. More Freedom

A Little Adjustment Goes a Long Way.

A Smarter Way To Move Between Playing Styles

Flip Pick is different from a conventional guitar pick. Instead of holding a loose pick between your fingers, you're wearing a system that keeps your pick attached and lets you rotate it between playing positions.

That difference may take a little getting used to.

Start with three things:

FIT. Find a comfortable position for your FlexBand.

POSITION. Adjust your RAVEN Wing Pick to suit your picking technique.

MOVEMENT. Practice rotating the pick until you discover a motion that works for you.

Don't worry about getting everything perfect right away. Start slowly, make small adjustments, and see what feels comfortable.

Built for Real Players.

Flip Pick was designed for guitar players who naturally move between styles.

Many players use Flip Pick for:

  • hybrid picking,
  • worship music,
  • acoustic playing,
  • singer-songwriter performance,
  • lead playing,
  • and casual practice sessions.

Flip Pick can also provide an alternative way to retain a guitar pick for players who find conventional picks difficult to hold. Because the pick remains attached to the finger, the system doesn't rely entirely on continuously pinching a loose pick.

Flip Pick is not a medical device, but many players appreciate the additional security and reduced grip tension the system can provide.

Choosing Your Pick Gauge

Thin

Flexible and responsive.

Great for lighter strumming and acoustic rhythm playing.

Medium

Balanced feel for both strumming and picking.

A versatile all-around option.

Heavy

Maximum articulation and control.

Popular for lead playing and precision attack.

Is There A Learning Curve?

Yes — a little.

Like any new guitar tool or technique, Flip Pick may feel different at first.

Most players spend a short adjustment period experimenting with:

  • positioning,
  • pick angle,
  • and playing technique.

Once dialed in, many players find transitions between fingerstyle and flatpicking become much smoother and more intuitive.
